Veteran Sioux Falls Business Man Succumbs to Attack of Heart Disease
Peter Peters, 431 West Eleventh St, a resident of this city for 35 years,
was another of the "old timers" of Sioux Falls, the ranks of which have been
fast depleting in recent days, to "cross the Great Divide." Mr Peters succumbed
to a heart attack at his home at 8:40 o'clock Monday night.
Mr. Peters, who has been on the job as manager of the Standard Products company
despite an affliction of heart disease for a long period of time, was stricken with a
heart attack at his home shortly after 5 o'clock Monday evening. He was 63 years old.

Operated Bakery Prior to handling the food products for the Standard Products company
in recent years, Mr. Peters was in the bakery business in Sioux Falls for about 12 years,
running this type of a business at 227 North Main ave. (Peter's Bakery)
Born in Denmark, February 12, 1868, he came to the United States at the age of 13
and settled in Independence, Ia., where he attended school in that vicinity. When he
became about 18 years of age he learned the bakery trade which he followed for several
years thereafter.
Widow, Children Survive. He was married on October 17, 1906, to Miss Minnie Peterson
of Independence, Ia,. Three children were born to this union, all of whom with the widow survive.
They are Earl, Sioux Falls, Donald, Watertown, and Minnie, Sioux Falls. He is also survived by
a brother, Chris Petersen, of Humboldt, Ia.
Mr. Peters was a lifelong member of the Lutheran church. He belonged to the Elks lodge and
the United Commercial Travelers. The Miller Funeral home is in charge of the funeral
arrangements and the rites will be private, according to members of the Peters family.
